BY-LAW NO. 01-2010

WATER AND WASTEWATER RATES BY-LAW

A By-Law to amend Schedule “A” of By-Law No.

44-2006, being a by-law adopt the rates for water

and wastewater services related to the operation

of the systems.

WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Bancroft operates and maintains a water supply and distribution system, and a wastewater collection and treatment system;

AND WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Town of Bancroft deems is necessary and expedient to update the water and wastewater rates for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012, in accordance with the rates set out in the Water and Wastewater Study undertaken by C.N. Watson and Associates Ltd. (Water and Wastewater Rate Update 2005);

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Town of Bancroft ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. THAT Schedule “A” of By-Law No. 44-2006, be hereby amended;

2. THAT the rates set out in Schedule “A”, as amended, and attached hereto, shall be effective as of January 1, 2010; and

3. THAT Schedule “A”, as amended, forms part of this by-law.

READ a first, second, and third time and finally passed this 12^th day of January, 2010.

SCHEDULE “A” TO BY-LAW NO. 01- 2010

1. EFFECTIVE DATES:

Rates and Charges

The rates and charges set out in this Schedule shall come into force and take effect on the dates shown on the tables in this schedule and shall be charged for all water used.

Miscellaneous Charges

The miscellaneous rates and charges set out in this Schedule shall come into force and effect on the date which this By-law is enacted and be charged for all miscellaneous charges incurred on or after that date. Miscellaneous charges incurred prior to that date shall be charged at the rates existing ion the date before this By-law was enacted.

2. BASE MONTHLY CHARGES:

Monthly base charges shall be charged for both water and waste water individually and shall be charge at the following rates:
